The Lokator Bullpen is meant to be used in conjunction with the physical Lokator Pitching Target available for purchase at LokatorAcademy.com. It comprises 20 different bullpen sessions, each containing 20 pitches. These sequences are named based on their objectives and are ranked by difficulty level. Every session focuses on enhancing pitch command, selection, and sequencing.

Within each bullpen session, various techniques and strategies for getting hitters out are explored. These methods were honed and applied in real game scenarios by Steve Stemle, the creator of the Lokator Target and System, in his journey to the Major Leagues. Stemle also relied on these strategies while instructing young pitchers on the intricate dynamics between pitcher and batter at different training academies.

Once a pitcher sets up a profile and selects a bullpen session, they are ready to begin. The target screen will indicate the pitch number in the sequence, the specific targets to aim for (Lokations), and the type of pitch to throw. The Lokator Target will display highlighted zones for improved visualization and easy communication for the scorekeeper.

During pitching, when a ball hits the designated Lokation, a team member (such as a coach or parent) can touch the screen on the target where the ball landed. The App will indicate with a checkmark if the Lokation was hit or an X if it wasn't. This is where the retries feature comes into play.

Pitchers have the flexibility to choose between 1 and 4 retries for missed targets on the bullpen selection screen. Opting for 0 retries will result in a fixed 20-pitch bullpen session. Conversely, selecting 4 retries could extend the bullpen to 80 pitches if no Lokations are hit. This feature allows pitchers to make real-time adjustments, engage in longer bullpen sessions, and be rewarded for consistent accuracy by earning high rankings through Lokator Score.

In addition to the retry option, there is also a distance feature on the bullpen selection screen to adjust the distance from which each pitcher throws. This feature accommodates pitchers who vary in throwing distances or are not pitching from full distance, ensuring fair competition.

Upon completing a bullpen session, statistics across four categories are automatically saved in the App's database. Two categories utilize Lokator Score to evaluate effectiveness and rank pitchers based on targets hit and the number of pitches taken to hit each target. The remaining two categories focus on Accuracy Reports, detailing overall target hit percentage per bullpen and percentage of hits per individual target.

Following the conclusion of the bullpen and generation of reports, pitchers can assess their performance using Lokator Scores and Accuracy Reports. By comparing rankings against teammates or friends through report rankings, pitchers can gauge their progress effectively. The email function allows sharing statistics directly from the Report Screen.
